Married with Moyer

Your love stories are one of the most enjoyable parts of our job. Being part of your memories, and knowing that we’re part of everything you’re forging in the future, makes it even more important that we find the perfect ring for a couple just like you. Here are some proposal stories.

Bennett & Kirsten

Kirsten and I met in April of 2018. In our year and a half of dating, we enjoyed spending time at the lake, rollerblading around the downtown area, working out, and sampling different restaurants to find our favorite tacos. I proposed in front of one of our favorite views of the city on September 28th, 2019. I picked her up early and suggested that prior to lunch we take a small stroll around the canal. I had set up a spot for the proposal down by the river, and had a photographer waiting in the trees for us. After a few touching and beautiful words, I dropped to one knee and asked her to marry me! Afterwards, we took some engagement photos in the botanical gardens at the zoo. Despite me promising there were no more surprises in store, I had a huge celebration party planned for her at home. She thought we were going to a fancy private dinner to celebrate our engagement, but to her surprise we were welcomed by both of our families and all our close friends!

Jonny & Kylie

Butler University has always meant the world to Kylie and I’s relationship. We grew together, found our best friends, and cherished our time dating while in college. On a gorgeous Saturday in the spring, Kylie and I had a dinner date planned, but as I was picking her up I told her I wanted to enjoy the beautiful day by taking a walk around Butler. Little did she know, I had my four closest friends at locations around campus. Each friend read a sweet letter, and then gave us a clue that led us to the next special location. After the final clue, we ended our walk at the Holcomb bell tower. I got down on one knee and asked Kylie to marry me. A hidden photographer captured the wonderful moment, and we then celebrated with our family, friends, and loved ones for the rest of the evening at an engagement party set up by Kylie’s sister.

Matt & Ericka

Our first trip we took together was to Newfoundland, Canada. We went there last year and absolutely fell in love with it. We knew we wanted to show it to our families because words simply just do not do it justice, so Matt started planning the trip. He found a cabin on the coast on private land that overlooks the ocean with breathtaking views. One night, since the view was so beautiful, Matt and I posed for a few pictures, and he pulled out a book. The front of it read "Why I Want To Marry You." The book went on to list the things he loves about me and us as a couple. After I finished, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The moment was incredibly special, and, of course, I said yes! After our family enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco and took around 1,000 pictures, we went to the town's brewery—Split Rock Brewing Co. The next day we went to St. Johns, Newfoundland and two of our best friends, McKenzie and Sam, surprised us there. It was the best trip...

Lewis & Melissa

I planned on proposing to Melissa in October on the West Coast. But as soon as I saw the ring, I knew there was no way I could keep it to myself for more than a few days! The next day I flew out to Manhattan where Melissa was for a work trip. I knew New York City was the place to pop the question. The next day, I took her to Gapstow Bridge in Central Park before our brunch reservations at Laduree. It was a cool late summer's morning, and felt like fall was starting to comb over NYC. I told her I wanted to show her the city between the trees on this bridge I found. Once we got to the bridge, there was no one around. The perfect private moment. I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. In a New York minute, she said yes. We spent the entire rest of the day doing all the things she loves: Champagne toasts, brunch at Laduree, eating macarons and shopping in Soho. We ended our day by taking a night carriage ride through Central Park. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
