Congratulations to Kala and Alex, who recently got engaged in a unique, "picture perfect" way.
In Kala's words:
Since the middle of April, my mom had been planning a "family picture day." My mom and sister came up to visit me at school one weekend, and we went shopping for matching outfits. We ended up picking black and white outfits, so I had Alex buy a new black polo for the pictures as well. On the day of the pictures, Alex and I were at my apartment about an hour from my parents' house. We were ready to leave about an hour before we had to leave in time for the pictures. I called my mom to tell her we were going to be early, and she told me to go ahead and pack more since I was getting ready to move to a new house the next day. So, Alex and I continued to pack, and we left an hour later, on time. When we got to my parents' house, I noticed the photographer was already there. So we rushed inside, and then Alex lead me to the backyard where I then saw my entire family lined up to the side of the house. Our song was playing over the speakers outside, and I then realized what was going on (It was not family picture day). My family and Alex's parents all walked in front of us holding various signs with important dates from our relationship, like our anniversary, first date, etc. The last sign, held by my younger sister said, "Will you". At this point, Alex turned to me and got down on one knee with the ring of my dreams! Of course, I said,"YES!"
